After working so long and hard they finally have material. they couldn't just go to Joann's or Hobby Lobby and get a needle and thread they had to to make the needles out of bronze, bone, wood, or other materials. Which was not so easy because the needles had to be fairly thin. Doing the hem then is just as easy as making a hem now. All they did was fold over edge of the material and did some whipped stitches.
