How long was the trend "In"

I know the Egyptians clothes were special but they are so last season. Every year something new comes out that everybody wants but the plain white linen look lasted 2,000 years. I still cant believe that the guys wore kilts, skirts. Plus the style back then was to shave your head and were wigs made of human hair if you were wealthy enough. I don't ever see that style choice ever coming back.
